I have a story up on Muzzle Flash. My first acceptance by they way. It’s called Lessons. Go by and check it out.

Not a real big thing, but it is my first time in any print or screen. I sent that story out twice. One rejection and one acceptance. The process of submitting and feeling of rejection was the truly important part. For a first timer, I felt things on a smaller scale. The rejection was hard (aren’t they all?) but I know my limitations and am working on stretching them. The acceptance was a surprise. The story is not stellar, far from it, but I felt it was the right one for the right place and more important the right one for a first dip into the writing world. How was your first acceptance? What feelings surrounded you?

Congratulations!
Your first time is always memorable. Mine was on the seat of a Datsun pick-up truck.

All kidding aside, though, congrats!
Fantastic! That first acceptance is something you'll never forget.
