Coming up the with something to put down on paper, isn't easy, at least not for me. When I get stuck, I look around the house for anything to jam into a manuscript. Within reason, of course. I peer out the window, turn on the news, stare at the floor, bounce ideas off my small son, go for a walk in the park, chat with neighbors, and even pat the dog for inspiration. The really good ideas come when I'm sleeping.
