What the hell is a chatterwall?
  • Robert Gregory Browne

    Oh. Okay.
  • Laura Benedict

Thanks for friending me. Nice to meet you!
  • Robert Gregory Browne

Nice to meet you, too, Laura!
  • Bill Cameron

Rob, I don't care what they say about you, man. You're all right.
  • Sean Chercover

And your book rocks. And I'm not just saying that. So there.
  • Paul Guyot

All right, I was saving this for a more public forum, but I'll say it there, too. I think I already told you most of this.

My wife read your book first, and dug it. And she doesn't like much. Including me.

Honestly, initially, I had held off reading it because I wasn't into the whole "other world" vibe I'd heard was in it.

    Then I read it.

And not only is the writing top notch, but the story rocks. Beginning to end.

    Well done.
  • Robert Gregory Browne

Sean and Paul, your checks are in the mail.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the kind words.
  • Paul Guyot

    Oh, this is Rob's page?

I thought it was Tasha's...never mind.
  • Mary L. Wheeling

Hi, Rob! Thank you for being a friend. (Mary Louisa, here--reverting to my "professional" name.) I can't wait to read your book. I've heard such great things about it. Hope the ride has been a good one so far.
  • Robert Gregory Browne

Hey, Mary Louisa -- good to see you here!
  • Angie

Nice to see another familiar(ish) face! Okay, I admit that basically I'm running around saying hello to everyone, 'cause that's what polite folks do, right? I'm working on that polite thing...

Haven't gotten to KHG, but it's on my TBR list. Hearing lots of good stuff, though - and not just from your paid readers!
  • Paul Guyot

Is this more apropos of my personality?
  • Brett Battles

There's a whole lot of sucking up going on here...
  • Robert Gregory Browne

    Uh, what's yer point?
  • Bill Cameron

I read a book once. Well, I didn't quite finish it. I got distracted looking at Elisha Cuthbert.
  • Robert Gregory Browne

    Perv.
  • Angie

Brett's just jealous. Bill's a perv. This is gonna be a fun place to hang out...
  • Vince Keenan

Hi, Rob. Enjoyed seeing you and many of the other Killer Year kids at LCC.
  • Kathryn Lilley

Hi Robert, thanks for the invite! Glad to meet you!
  • Sean Chercover

    Hey Robert Gregory Browne,

    Is the "Gregory" really necessary?
  • Robert Gregory Browne

I was about to ask you the same thing about Chercover. I think you should go the Madonna route. Just use Sean as your byline. Big City, Bad Blood by Sean.

    I like that.
  • Laura Benedict

Hey, Robert. I really liked your response on the ITW post--you guys have done a heck of a job with Killer Year. I think some folks are suffering from a lack of imagination when it comes to getting their books off the ground. ITW does seem a little opaque at times--it's hard to identify where the dues-paying needs to take place. Just a little exploration, I think, and some imagination and flexibilty. But isn't that true of everything? L.
  • Sean Chercover

    "Hammy Hamster, Hammy-Hammy-Hamster!"

I have no idea what I'm saying. And you can't hear the music that goes with those lyrics. Why do I even try?

And why do you keep crossing your arms at me? Don't you know that it makes me nervous? What are you trying to say? Do you disapprove of me?

    UNCROSS YOUR ARMS, DAMNIT!!!
  • Robert Gregory Browne

Laura, thanks. As I said in my post, ITW is going through some growing pains, but it's a wonderful organization.

Sean, my arms are stuck, got it? Stuck. Now get lost.
  • Robert Gregory Browne

    It's both. Definitely both.
  • Carol Davis Luce

Hi Robert, thanks for befriending me here on this great crime site. I, too, thought about creating a crime space such as this one, but Daniel beat me to it. -- Yeah, right.
  • Elizabeth Dearborn

Hey Rob, thanks for friending me, and congratulations on your books!
  • Jeff Sherratt

"It all started when the pregnant girl went crazy." Great first line, Robert. Your book is now on my "gotta get" list. Thanks for inviting me to be a friend.
  • Lourdes Fernandez

Thanks for the invite, Robert. I look forward to reading your book soon. By the way, will be in your former neck of the woods soon -- going to Maui and the Big Island next month. Can't wait!
  • Robert Gregory Browne

Thanks all, for accepting my invite and for stopping by the humble abode. Glad you like that first line, Jeff -- and have a blast in Hawaii, Lourdes.
  • Julie Campbell

Thanks for the friending. And ignore Sean -- it's a very manly man kinda pose.
  • Robert Gregory Browne

LOL. That's me, all right. Mr. Manly Man.
  • Nancy Martin

Mr. Browne, how did I miss your book release? I am going to Barnes & Noble immediately.
  • spyscribbler

The keys to the kingdom can only be forged by the user, and must be handmade, LOL.

    Happy crimespacing!
  • Mark Troy

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for the invitation. I agree with you there's no one approach to the craft, but I like hearing how others do it.
