About Me:
Best-selling author John Foxjohn epitomizes the phrase; “been there—done that.” Born and raised in the rural East Texas town of Nacogdoches, he quit high school and joined the Army at seventeen. Viet Nam veteran, army Airborne Ranger, policeman and homicide detective, retired teacher and coach, and now, a multi-published author.

His first novel, Code of Deceit, a murder mystery, became a best-seller three months after its release. In a reader’s choice poll, Code of Deceit ranked number twenty of all novels released in 2006.

Although John is proud and excited about his first novel, that pales in comparison to his excitement for the next two that will be released in 2007. In April his blockbuster historical fiction, Journey of the Spirit hits the shelves.

In September, the sequel to Code of Deceit, Cold Tears, will explode on the market. John believes this may be one of the best mysteries to hit the market in a long time.

John is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Romance Writers of America, Elements of Romance, Sisters-in-Crime, and League of Texas Writers. He is a full time writer and speaker and lives in Lufkin, Texas.

Just learned of crimespace today from Jeffery Marks. Looks like a fun place to hang out -- as soon as I learn how to negotiate all the great places on board!

    Hello everyone,

I haven't posted anything yet, been busy with my proofs for my novel, Cold Tears that I hope hits the shelves in Sept. I'm sure most of you can relate to the deadline stuff. Cold Tears Is the sequel to my best selling novel, Code of Deceit. For you who read and loved the first one, all I can say is, hold on to your seats with the sequel. I believe it is that good. But, that is not the book I really want to talk about at the moment. It just so happens that I have one coming in April. The title is
Journey of the Spirit, and even though it is a historical fiction, not mystery and suspense, if you only read one book this year, you are going to kick yourself if it isn't this one.

BTW-I am the type to say I told you so. This book is fantastic.

I only know Sylvia on here and I would like to thank her for inviting me, and I believe I know one other of my friends. We had lunch together once, but I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. If you want to know more about Journey of the Spirit, you can visit my web site, www.johnfoxjohnhome.com or view a two minute video trailer of the novel at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIND-YwhtVk

    TAKE THE JOURNEY

John, just finished reading Journey of the Spirit and really enjoyed it. Can't believe the amount of research you must have done to nail the historic details so convincingly. I'll be recommending it to my friends and fellow readers. Best of luck with your book launch April 21st. I'd love to be there but will be in St. Louis presenting a master class at the Missouri Writer's Guild conference. - Pat
