Hey, Jennie. Welcome to the club!
  • Steven Torres

Welcome. I'm sure you'll like it here. Just read a mystery where a nailgun was used as a weapon. Right up your alley, I'd imagine...

    Welcome, Jennie!

With your reading taste, I think you'll like it here.
  • Jennie Bentley/Bente Gallagher

A nailgun? Really?... Oh, darn, and I had a whole plot worked out with a nailgun as the murder weapon! (No, I'm not kidding.) Steven, if you see this, would you tell me the title/author of the book you read? Thanks! Thanks to the rest of you, too, for the welcome!

Greetings from a fellow newbie to the board (and a fellow Southerner, just south of you in Tupelo). I'll have to check out your series. Best wishes.
  • Jennie Bentley/Bente Gallagher

Thanks, Glen. You're gonna have to wait awhile on the series; I'm still writing it. The first book won't be out until 2008. Nothing wrong with some early buzz, though, right?

Hey! I'm up for the 500 words. (Sorry, I just got the comment tonight - work kept me from finishing my emails, etc. last night).
500 words. End of tomorrow. Let's do it!!!!
  • Angela Wilson

How did you do? I got 281 on the novel and 333 on a book review.
  • Jennie Bentley/Bente Gallagher

I didn't get to 500 yesterday, but I clocked over 1000 today to make up for it. Yesterday, my editor requested a preview of what I've written on the book so far, so I had to scramble to get her the pages I have, after first running them by my agent. I also entered a contest, the entry form to which involved a lot more than 500 words. I also set up a Google adword campaign on my other website - nothing to do with writing - and hunted down information on a small publisher my agent is considering for a book I don't have a publisher for. All in all, not a bad day, although I really feel I ought to be able to write at least a few hundred words a day. With two kids home from school for the summer, though, things tend to fall by the wayside a lot more. Glad to hear you're back to work on your WIP!
