I'm the Past-President of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) and now serve as the Conference Director, I have 3 daughters-ranging in ages 19, 9, 7--am happily married to my hubby of 20 years, and love to read, write, and scrapbook.
Hi Robin ... I'm more of a House and Scrubs man myself ... or rather, those are the medical series my wife and teenage daughters have determined the family will watch. For some reason, tho', the women of the house have decided that Greys Anatomy won't get space on our Sky-Plus box (British for Tivo) ... which is fine by me, to be honest. Like a lot of men, I'm totally squeamish about any form of medicine/operations/autopsies on TV ... and then I go and write violent, blood-soaked thrillers. Go figure! Anyway, welcome to Crimespace. And here's to the 11th commandment: Thou shall not get caught ...
Greetings from you next door neighbor (in Tupelo). Great website, Robin. And a great Foundation for your writing (and everything else in your life, actually). Peace, friend.
Yeah, don't tell anyone, but I've seen Nanny 911, Trading Spouses, American Idol, The Search for the New Pussycat, Survivor ... what, this is a PUBLIC forum? Anyone can see it??
Hi, Robin. Over here in the UK, I'm published by Constable & Robinson. In the US, it's Carroll & Graf.
And as my internet connection seems to be working again, I'll go and check out your website before it falls over again. :o)
Hey Robin,
Nice to meet you. I lived in Fayetteville Ark for a short time a million years ago. Arkansas is a beautiful state. Pretty much the opposite of New Mexico where we've had a snowy winter and a soggy spring and I'm beginning to think the early has left its orbit. But NM is stunningly beautiful in its own way. Sorry I'm slow to respond. I've been out of town on a panel at Murder in the Grove in Boise and computer wi-fi has been iffy. Cheers and best wishes!
Yes, I love Nancy Drew. GMA did a story on how ND influenced different types of women earlier this week. It is amazing how important she has been since her inception.
I don't remember Trixie Belden from my childhood. My parents were buying and Dad had loved Hardy Boys and Bobbsey Twins. ND was a natural choice also. I found Dana Girls at the library.
Nope, no Margie Lawson. Boise is quite a treat and the con a good group of people.Robert Crais was guest of honor and on my panel. Seems like a nice guy. Do you know anything about Murder in the Midlands? I've heard good things. Am thinking of going next year.
I'm certain I should know about the ACFW conference, but I'm probably getting senile. What/where is it? Why are you fighting the prep? (Not that I love the effort of planning/paying for a conference trip.) Be sure to keep any and all paperwork. IRS is investigating my participation in cons in 2005. Ouch!
Well, a writer from the deep south....I love it. I'm from new Orleans I don't usually comment on members pictures, but you look like Anne Rice when she was young.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my page here on crimespace.
One week from today, and I leave for the ACFW conference. In the meantime, I have to get my house ready, my family's needs organized so when I'm gone, everything will run smoothly, and I'm on a deadline as well. But you know what, it's okay. Because I'm excited about everything. Can't wait! :D
So, how're YOU doing? Are you ready for conference????

Thanks for inviting me. Um... I don't watch Greys Anatomy, though, because I'm already addicted to enough shows. I'm sure I'd like it, though.
