Profile Information:

About Me:
I write thrillers set in New England. In October 2008, I'll release the second book in my Randy Black series titled, A Demon Awaits. I think the series is unique in that readers see a major transformation in the lead character over the first few books. Rather than reading about Randy's backstory, readers experience it.

Also in 2008, I've optioned the film rights to Sin and Vengeance, the first book in the Randy Black series. The screenplay has been written and early response from the industry has been very positive. The screenwriter has done a fantastic job and I hope I will have more news to share soon.

I'm frequently on Myspace, Goodreads and Facebook.

Thanks, CJ. It's almost Crime Bake time again.

Hi. Good to have you as a friend. I have dealt with many of the same things that have been published by Grisham. When it reminds me of work, it is no longer leisure reading.

If I can help you with Courtroom experience and "the mind" of a judge. Let me know. I can certainly take you into the serious side of murder, rape and the inherent bias of the system against men, especially black men. Did you know that the United States has the largest percentage of it's adult male populatioon in prison, above any other nation on the earth?

I look forward to our friendship as well.
  • Jim Mitchell

Indeed you should. I liked it so much I bought it and believe that the extras such as "The making of" only add to the pleasure and give a clue as to the mindset of its makers. And it's one with which I'd happily align myself.
  • Carole Parker

I'm sorry, but that information is classified. Thanks for the add. I'll check out your work; sounds interesting. I'm a hardboiled screenwiter myself ...

Good to hear from you, CJ. I liked being on the air, but I never cracked the big markets, so being a professor paid the bills much better!
I have a brother, Brett, who lives in Roxbury, VT, which is not far from you. He writes science fiction and teaches at Norwich University.
    I'll get back to you!

Doing pretty good. Am at the finish line on my latest script, a female-driven hardboile spy thriller. Yeah, the market is bad right now, but they still need projects. Just got a nibble from a producer about my low-budget film noir. Wish me luck ... how about you?
  • Carole Parker

We'll have to see what happens. Producer didn't want any changes in the screenplay, which for me is a first -- and since I wrote it, I AM bragging a bit. Which book of yours do you recommend most highly?
