I’m the creator of the East London Adventurers Club mystery series and a classically trained artist. I've been painting for over 30 years, having done numerous commissions, illustrations for national products and co-authored and illustrated a children's book. Writing was always something I enjoyed doing, but never had the opportunity to pursue seriously until recently. By combining my creative talents with a passion for art and antiquities, I conceived the fictional world of the East London Adventurers Club.
Greetings Historical mystery writers be here, sir! Take the time to scope'em out and dive into a converstion or two. And check out my page. You might find something of interest over there.

I just got a review from the Sentinel on "Along Came A Fifer"-
Phillips, a Pennsylvania resident, does a fine job with his first mystery novel. The characters are relatable and dynamic. The novel has everything a mystery needs — humor, deception, unrequited love and, well, a good old-fashioned mystery.
Larissa Boyer, Carlisle Sentinel
I often wonder what psychological need causes people to both read such violence or write it. There are so many who partake of such entertainment that I'm sure I must be in the minority.
Mike, I'll have to see about getting you on my group's book discussion list. I believe we're covered 'til Jan. or Feb. 2010 but should be open after that. I'll let you know...as well as other authors here.
