Between them Bob and Carol Bridgestock have nearly half a century of experience within West Yorkshire police service. Bob was a career Detective. During his thirty years he held every rank within the CID retiring at the rank of Detective Superintendent a Senior Investigative Officer. As an SIO and ‘the man in charge’ he dealt with 26 murders, 23 major incidents including shootings and attempted murders, over 50 suspicious deaths and numerous sexual assaults some of which were high profile for which he received twenty Commendations from high courts, judges, crown courts and chief constables. He also worked on external enquiries for other forces. His wife and co-author Carol has seventeen years experience as a support worker for the same Force that undoubtedly gave them inspiration and a wealth of experience to draw upon for their narrative. Deadly Focus is their first work of fiction and they are in the process of writing two more novels. Why not 'goggle' Bob Bridgestock for further information.
Great to be friends here, too. I've just been doing a couple of reviews and posting them here, there and everywhere. One was for Adrian Magson, author of Red Station. The other was for co-authors Jack Everett and David Coles for their thriller 1/1: Jihad - Britain. I enjoyed both books and was happy to recommend them. I hope to take a rest from reviewing for a while and get on with my own much-neglected novel! Not before time. Give my regards to Bob and I hope you both have the best New Year ever! xx
Welcome! I just wanted to introduce myself, and my blog, The Book Buff: Book Reviews for Regular People. Check it out at http://www.thebookbuff.blogspot.com
It can be a bit overwhelming around here at first, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
