    Thanks, Anne, for the recommendations! I'll check them out. The reason I asked you about the river ranger sleuth series is that I write it, the RM Outdoor Adventures series. Book 1 is Deadly Currents and book 2 is Wicked Eddies, while book 3, Fatal Descent, comes out next June. The first one was an Amazon bestseller, and the second one was chosen by Kirkus Reviews for its "Critics Picks in Mystery & Crime" list. You can find out more at my website, bethgroundwater.com.
