    Well, my age is the same as yours, so that is one thing we have in common. I, too, came upon this site somewhat by accident. My late husband was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Was that "your war" as well?

    My husband Jolly (given name) was in at the very end in 1953 and got out after 13 months a bit over 19 years of age. He could have had a purple heart, but it would have been two more weeks in Korea, and he said a resounding no to that and 10% disability because of his artificial kneecap. I miss him, but he prepared me well for widowhood. Now it is off to see what you have written as I must admit that I have not yet read any of your novels, but that is about to change. Thank you for responding. I am sure that I will enjoy this site.
