Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Vin
Thanks for befriending me. It's an honour! On my "To Do" list is a note to spend a few hours exploring this website and the links to members' sites and blogs. Congratulations on such a successful writing career! Be proud, for sure!
Well, Vincent, we are now friends. It is nice to meet you. I'm new to Crime Space and would like to learn more about our objectives. Please write to tell me your experiences.
One of the bestest things about CrimeSpace is that it allows me to be listed as a friend to some really good crime writers. Great for my ego, you know. Thanks for your hand in friendship .......

Hi, Vincent. I have no idea why or how you discovered me in all these thousands of writers, but thank you for the invitation. Good luck with Moonlight Falls.
Congrats. So will we see it in hardback, too. I don't own a kindle - prefer to feel the pages as I turn them. But I will look for it as our favorite Borders if/when if hits the stores.
Thanks for the friendship.
Check out We Can't Dance Together at A Twist of Noir!
(based on that Steely Dan song that's been stuck in your head since 1980)
I am honored to be invited to be your friend Vincent and hope this proves to be a both pleasant and rewarding experience.
However the link I was asked to click on did not work.
Hi Vincent,
Thanks for befriending this mystery author on Crimespace! I hope you will put my books, A Real Basket Case, To Hell in a Handbasket and my upcoming Deadly Currents, on your to-read list. If you'd like to enter a contest for free mystery books, sign up for my email newsletter at: http://bethgroundwater.com/ .
Thanks for the add, Vincent. Now I have to figure out how to get your new digital book. Since I have moved to Costa Rica, I rely on digital editions, given that Amazon doesn't send books to CR. Fortunately not only did I stuff my container with 39 boxes of.favorite tomes, all of which arrived in good shape, a Gringo restaurant down here maintains a library filled with another 1000 or so books donated by expat customers. So, despite Amazon's policy, paper-lovers, like myself, can still have something to huddle with in bed before having sweet dreams!
Costa Rican costs vary. To get reasonable rents, one stays away from the Gringo strongholds. I live in Atenas and pay $700.mo for a house with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and lots of open space for a huge LR (most are small), a "den" off the LR, another space for a DR (actually I have a 5-ft round table there, 1 hall for miscellaneous things (the depth of the house), and 1 garden and patio off the den, where I have my computer. Excellent wall space for my bookcases (which would not fit in the ordinary Tican house), Some folks say $700 is too high, but I am very pleased with the space. Not at all claustrophobic . .. and within walking distance to town.
I live on a social security check of $937/mo, That covers rent, my utilities, and some if not all of my foods. GoogleAds on my website sends me another $100-150 every two months, and my royalties are like small monthly annuities.
I got here July 2009. In Feb 2010, I filed my pensioner's residency application. It was approved a few weeks ago (early Nov.). That was not bad. Some expats never file for residency. They drive to Nicaragua or Panama every 90 days to get their passport stamp showing they exited CR and after an hour or two drive back and get their passport stamped showing they re-entered CR/
Some stay for a few days and sightsee or visit friends there.
Sorry I didn't reply before. I didn't receive a notification of your friend request. Happy to be friends. All good wishes for 2011.Best. Geraldine Evans
