About Me:

I was an ambulance officer for fifteen years and like to bung lots of that experience into the text. Much like my good buddy Leigh Redhead does, only with less pole dancing.

FRANTIC sounds like a winner. I will mention the title to the owner of our new bookshop in town, Reading Time Books.

    Hi Katherine
I've sent the message below through usual email channels and it's bounced back to I thought I try this route....

I have been meaning to write and congratulate you on your much-deserved Davitt Award.
I was at Varuna for the Longlines Commuity Week when the Awards were on in Melbourne. (It was the first time I had missed the Award ceremony).
Although I knew that I had won - on behalf of the actual authors - the Readers' Vote Davitt for Scarlet Stiletto the first cut, and made an announcement to that effect over dinner that night - because I could; I didn't know who else had won until Saturday morning.
When I told the lovely Peter Bishop that two Varuna alumni had won awards he was so thrilled - and HE made an announcement about both of us at the Open Day that weekend.
    I hope you're writing up a storm

    cheers
    Lindy
