Hey Kaycee--Looks like you are having good fortune with your short stories and I love a good mystery. Thanks for the invitation to get to know you and your work. Have a great week.
Hi to you in Texas! You're a warm world away from me in Canada - lots of snow and frigid temperatures here. Thanks for inviting me as a friend. Congrats on being accepted with Espiren Press.
Hi Kim, nice to meet you! Thanks for the invite. Congrats on Avenging Angel. Did you Nano this year? I missed it, somehow, but I was still writing anyway, so it doesn't matter, I just missed all the fun, that's all...
Brenda, I am unhappy about this heat in Tennessee, where I am. It was 77 yesterday! I want snow! Thank you for friending me!
No Graeme, I didn't Nano this year. I have done it for the last three years and have made so much headway on WIPs that I am sort of mad at myself for not going there. But everything works out in the end, and I am only about 10 thou words from the end of the first draft on my current book. Thanks for the congrats, great to meet you!
Hi Kim, thank you so much for the invite. And don't you be complaining about 77 degrees. It wasn't that hot in July, this year in England! Snow, schmow ... I'd rather have some warmth in my bones ...
Hi Kim! Thanks for adding me to your line-up of friends. I look forward to finding out more about you. I hope you’ll check out my new thriller, IM, about a serial killer preying on gay men using Internet hookup sites.
Watched the video trailer for IM. In the excited words of a famous actor, "I GOTTA GET ME ONE OF DEM!" ( I still do not know how to make one!)
best, Kim
Greetings from Australia, Kim. Thanks for adding me to your friends. I think I'll be taking a look at your crime-writing hints over the coming weeks. I need something to get me over the final hurdle. Have an enjoyable festive season.
Kim, thanks for the add! Got to love Crimespace. Always good to meet another crime writer, but great to find other Southern writers in particular. Now I have to find a copy of your book!
Hi Kim, thanks for the invite...glad to meet you! And your page's colour scheme is so calming, I can feel all the stress of the day just seeping away...ahhhh...
Tony.
Hi Kim ( that's also my daughter's name) The cake eating hippo series of picture books (5) should be available on Amazon in US.Published by Penguin. Or can be bought online via the Australian Books online link on my website.Delighted to make contact and just learning abotu webchatting.
Well 200 at a bare minimum :) :) :) I think I've got about 600 at the moment in the unread pile which is a nice / safe against all possible natural disasters that might keep me from a bookshop level.
Obsessive... me.... whatever gave you that idea [VBEG]
Hi, Kim! thanks for the invite. This is my year to con-hop, so I'll be at Love is Murder, Malice Domestic, ThrillerFest, Deadly Ink, and Bouchercon. Did you miss Deadly Ink in NJ and Magna Cum Murder in Muncie? I'll hit those too. Hope to meet you in person at one of these shindigs.
Thanks for befriendling me -- and thanks for the Van DIne list. It certainly applies to the classic mystery form, although I think many of the rules can be considered once and then forgotten by writers today. Mysteries are a much broader genre now than they were then.
But some of them will apply forever. You should think about posting those in the forum area and asking members to comment on which ones they feel are valid or invalid for writers today.
Hi Kim! :) Thanks for befriending me and thanks for the good wishes! I was very lucky to snag Janet (even though she's being mean and bullying me into having a picture taken >:O).
Kim: Thank you so much for the very kind words on A PERFECT GRAVE. It has been well received and many readers have responded kindly. I deeply appreciate your generosity, R.
Hi Kiki I wanted to add a quote for your wbesite, but the website didn't tel lme how. I send it to you here. "I would write a book, or a short story, at least three times--once to understand it, the second time to improve the prose and a third to compel it to say what it still must say. Bernard Malamud.
It's very good advice.

Thanks for inviting me to join your friends. We have great memories of Memphis, we visited in 99 and hung out with Paul Burlison, a local musician who, since then, has sadly died. He made it a very special visit.
Hi Kim,
Thank you for contacting me. Have to admit that I've been a bit slack about keeping up with crimespaxe as I have lots of other stuff on the go. I look forward to reading your latest book I have never been to Memphis, only know of is as an 'Elvis' shrine
Anyone can have 5000 songs on his/her iPod if he or she is willing to suspend all common sense, budgetary considerations, and the demands of so-called real life in order to accumulate music and more music and more music.
I had a head start, though, since I had a couple of thousand CDs when I started, all of which have now been given back to the universe, with only the songs I like preserved for my listening pleasure. And then I simply spent an unlimited amount of money on iTunes and Amazon's music sites.
