About Me:

I am a 34 year old Irish crime writer. My debut novel, Borderlands, was shortlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger 2007. It will be published in the US in September by Thomas Dunne Books. The second Inspector Devlin novel, Gallows Lane, was released in the UK in April and will follow in the US next year. I'm currently working on the next Devlin novel, Bleed A River Deep. When not writing, I teach English Literature in St Columb's College in Derry. I live near the Irish borderlands with my wife, Tanya, and our two children (with a third on the way).

Books And Authors I Like:

I'm an avid crime reader and a fan of, amongst others, James Lee Burke, Ian Rankin, John Connolly and Michael Connelly. I'll read any well written crime fiction or thrillers.

Movies And TV Shows I Like:

The Godfather, the James Bond series, any good thrillers. I've recently started catching up with The Wire through the DVD boxsets - the best thing I've ever seen on TV!
