I write a series called Lake George Mysteries. The latest, Secrets Dark and Deep, will be published in May by Hilliard and Harris. Other titles: An Affinity For Murder (Georgia O'Keeffe paintings left behind at Lake George) Beneath The Surface (French and Indian War tie-in), Best Laid Plans (problems at the town's new community center).
Anne,
(sorry, I hit "add comment" by mistake) As I was saying, "No! No! No! The Mayor CANNOT get engaged to Don! There's too much undercurrent between Jim and Loren to marry her off to Don.
(Forgive me. I get involved in the characters when I'm reading a series.) Anyway, just finished reading Secrets Dark & Deep, and I really didn't see it ending by Loren & Don becoming engaged. I mean, they are not right for each other. Somewhere down the line, she has to get involved with Jim, the Sheriff's Investigater. I don't think Don is right for her. Jim is. Maybe your next book will have them breaking up. Jim is attracted to Loren, and I think, deep down, she's attracted to Jim.
You just have to get them together.

Hi Anne,
Good to hear from you on CrimeSpace. Glad you're enjoying my website - do you mean here, or on wordpress? I've really been doing a lot over there for the Blog Book Tours group. I've got a Blog-A-Day challenge till the end of May. Please visit my site, http://julielomoe.wordpress.com. While I'm there, I really don't have much time for my own writing!
