Share 'Lawyer Question'

Lawyers, or those who know about them...has anyone ever heard of a real life prosecutor (ADA; federal prosecutor, etc) who took a leave of absence from his/her job to temporarily work as a defense attorney on one case? I have such a situation in the book I'm doing revisions on now. It works for me if it's unprecedented, since that it's unusual serves as both a red herring and a significant clue.…
