Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.

Barbara,
I like the saying on the shirt in the photo you have of you. Is that a threat or a promise? Ha!
I love it! It sounds very interesting. I especially enjoy books with a paranormal edge. My book, Violet Cove, is a ghost story or ghost noir with the ghosts conducting their own investigation;-) It won't be released for another month...such a cumbersome process. It's been a long journey. Hope your New Year is blessed with health, prosperity, and excellent writing.
I hope you had a Merry Christmas. Was Santa good to you?
I'm glad you are willing to read my book. It's only 152 reading pages. To save you time and money, I can attach a manuscript copy of the book to an email so you can just download it. There are a few boo-boo's in the manuscript that had been corrected, but basically, it's the same as the book. By getting the manuscript it won't cost you anything. How's that? What email address could I send it to you?
Woops, I just realized I didn't address a couple of things in my last response to you. No, I never did work in the K-9 Corps. I wanted to, but at the time it was very difficult to get in there. Openings didn't occur often. I also do photography and videography and from time to time I would go out to the K-9 unit and photograph some of their training. That was cool. I think incorporating a canine in your next book would be good. I haven't heard of or seen too many books that have a dog as a main character (or a dog as a second fiddle character).
