I've come to enjoy free ebooks. What did we do without them. Free is always good and made better because it's, well, free. Something about a free book just makes it a good read, no matter how labor intensive it is to get through. I wish I could read all the free ebook, but I've already got bunches I haven't gotten to yet.

Hey, what about Pay Pal censoring what they deem to be immoral books? They are a private company and I guess it's okay if they censor, though it seems…

Good to be back

Hi Everyone, I'm back, at least I'm going to try and be back. I'm working really hard on my new novel. I'm calling it That Girl. I went through a block of procrastination for about a year and a half. I am getting geared up to promote my first novel, Bum's Rush. I'm a little shy about it. Doubt keeps rearing it's ugly head and indecision keeps me inactive. It's quite paralyzing. I'll keep you informed.

Self Publishing

I'm through with a project that started more than three years ago, Bum's Rush. I have confidence in the book. So why am I self publishing? Simple, I don't want the aggravation of waiting. Waiting for an agent, waiting for a publisher to listen to the agent, waiting for all the proofing, when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. I guess you might think I'm lazy. If that's your thinking, then, yes, I am. So I'm using Amazon, Kindle, Smashbook, and LuLu. In fact, Is out on everything but…

The fight scene

Aw, the fight scene. I've got three of them and I just wrote them to get through it. Now I have to go back and make it right. So I looked it up on the internet, my one-stop shop, and came up with good advice from many different sources. You get conflicting advice,…

Writing sex or love or fight scenes does take a little more work. I'm only half joking when I made my comment. In a story that is on its way to my publisher I have the hero met a slightly older woman and over a couple chapters (it is a murder story, after all) get romantically, and sexually, involved. As it turned out, just as it was when I had to write about killing someone, the characters took over and by the end of the story, all was good. I'm fortunate, I guess, in having characters that do that, making my life a lot easier. In the just published story, I had to deal with a kidnapping ... not much on the internet about how to do that either.
Back to the beginning ... welcome to the site, there are some good people here and a bevy of answers to nearly every troubling question. Daniel is doing a good job with CrimeSpace.

Hey, EA ... writing is such fun ....... fight scenes can be tough but if you really want to experience tough, try none pornographic love scenes! Not much on the internet that my mother could/would read. Oh, woe is me .......
Or maybe I need more experience.
Anyhow, as I might have mentioned, Ain't it fun?

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
