New stuff

It's been a busy weekend or at least some work I have done recently has paid off. I am a podcast! A story of mine, Past Due, is being podcast as episode #39 on the amazing crimewav.com
An off beat story of mine Two Left is up now at Darkest Before the Dawn and my super short contribution to Six Sentences is also up.
For links and more go to my blog at ericbeetner.blogspot.com
And tell me what you think of my author photo. Is it cheesy? Too dramatic? Super handsome? (Hey, it could be!)

Proud Daddy

Way more important than any of my writing is the wonderful little girl my daughter is turning into (and really has always been) I take way too many pictures of her and I got a few funny ones today that I thought other crime writers might enjoy. http://ericbeetner.blogspot.com/2009/05/starting-them-young.html

2nd place isn't half bad

My story 'Past Due' came in second in the Twist of Noir story contest. It was close and came down to a coin flip. Oh well. All the stories are great so check them out.

Eric,
Thanks for the kind words about "The Big Switch." I hope you like "The Deal Killer" as well.

Are there restrictions as to what people can or cannot submit to your "One Too Many Blows to the Head" fiction contest? Any material that may be deemed inappropriate, in your eyes? My head is filled with a handful of ideas at the moment.

Hey Eric, we're Pulp Pusher/Twist of Noir/PowderBurnFlash buddies. And your author photo is very, very handsome. You're making a John Cusack face.

Thanks, Eric, for your comments on my story. Should you be worried? How do you think I feel--that character came out of my mind! Joyce
