I'm a 2007 NaNoWriMo Winner and am currently co-authoring a novel with a friend of 30 plus years. It has romance, but the genre leans more to suspence and crime mystery. My husband and I met at the dragstrip and when I'm not writing, or playing with grandkids, I'm in my '81 Monte Carlo racing my hubby in his '89 Z28 Camaro.
I also have a website - jeanniebarber.com - and I'd LOVE for everyone to visit and sign the guestbook. Make comments, give me a guiding hand because I'm so green, I'm Irish!
Oh thanks so much Charlotte. I haven't gone back to finish all the editing for my NaNoWriMo story; the excerpt is on the website though.
I'm trying so hard to get thru all the editing phases with the story I'm co-authoring. It's been written for a long time, but then we discovered there were "rules", of all things! LOL. But I definitely appreciate your time and your expertise. I'm blessed to have made a friend named "Charlotte".
Hugs,
Jeannie
Thanks for the compliment on my name. My Mother liked Bette Davis. Charlotte was a popular name right around the time I was born, and Bette Davis played a lot of roles with that name. (always a bad girl - does that tell me something?)
Getting ready to go to your website, now. Will get back to you later on your writings. Another fellow Crimespace member asked me to do the same thing. I printed his whole manuscript off, read it, and made suggestions then mailed it to him. It was a really good story. I like to help whenever I can, but it may be like the pot calling the kettle black.
I'll take a look.

A picture of my Camaro is on my webspace as well as the main CrimeSpace page. Let me know when you copy it so I can take it down. Thanks for your help!
That's makes two of us, Jeannie. Great MySpace! And nice car. I didn't see anywhere to leave a photo of my Camaro, but I'm electronically challenged. :-)
Thanks for checking in, Jeannie. I'm nearly fine. I also have a Camaro, a 2002 Special edition, with less than 1,500 miles, show room new, that I'm been trying to sell. I can no longer get into it without a shoehorn. :-) Know anyone who might be interested in buying it? Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!!
Jeanne,
Thanks for inviting me as a Crimespace friend. Re your bio: I just sold MY '88 Camaro. I cried. It was like losing a friend of 20 years. It was the best car I have ever owned. I had kept it up and babied it so that it still had 90% of the original everything. The young 30-year-old that bought it, salivated.
But...we age, and move on. My Camaro days are, unfortunately, over. I may still feel like a red Ferrari inside, but the outside is a Buick LaCrosse. Aging is not for the weak or the young. They couldn't handle it.
But, I'm moving on to a new career...writing.
So, welcome, and "hello" from southwest Florida.

Hello Jeannie, Congratulations for doing 50,000 words in the November writing challenge. As you know by now, the rewriting takes the same amount of dedication. I started with romance and then turned to murder in my series. Good luck with your novel.
