About Me:: I am a late nineteenth century criminal, gambling, and saloon historian. My book, Alias Soapy Smith: The Life and Death of a Scoundrel is about my infamous bad man great grandfather of Alaskan and Colorado criminal history. I am here to aid fictional writers with accuracy.

I am a great grandson of Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith, the bad man crime-boss of Colorado and Alaska in the latter nineteenth century. Our family runs the Soapy Smith Preservation Trust and Friends of Bad Man Soapy Smith.

We have an large and interesting (at least I think so) website based around the life and death of Soapy, who died in the Shootout on Juneau Wharf in 1898.
