About Me:
Joe's first novel 'Someone Has To Pay' is an action thriller inspired by the IRA 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland. It's available at Amazon and Smashwords. His second book 'Absence of Rules' which also features counter-terrorism agent, Mike Devon, is in the pipelne and should be ready for publication in December 2011. Joe is a former journalist who reported first hand the events in Northern Ireland throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, firstly as Editor of a weekly newspaper, and then as a partner in an agency supplying copy to national newspapers and broadcasters. He switched careers to help provide advice and support to budding entrepreneurs in his native town and became its full-time CEO. He also managed a national business start-up programme for entrepreneurs with delivery agencies in 40 locations across Northern Ireland. He retired to concentrate on his long-time ambition to be a full-time writer.

The Book Olympics – writing a novel is a marathon, not a sprint.

With the London Olympic Games just around the corner there are analogies aplenty to describe the processes by which authors get a book ready for the finishing line.
