Karen Dionne's Page

“Dionne hits her stride with BOILING POINT, a heart-thumping, timely thriller, one that rings with surreal authenticity. All of the right elements — action, suspense, secrets, conspiracies — meld together, the plot built skillfully, like a master craftsman, one layer at a time. Put simply, it’s a non-stop delight of a read.” — New York Times bestselling author Steve Berry

"Fans of the late Michael Crichton will enjoy Dionne's exciting second ecothriller . . . Crisp writing keeps the pace fast, and the tight interweaving of story lines bodes well for this author's future efforts." — Publishers Weekly

"Dionne's follow-up to Freezing Point delivers more science thrills. The narrative flows well, the characters are sharp and the setting is explosive. While the chaos compels the reader to turn pages, the science reinforces a scenario this is all too real and terrifying. Readers will seek out the previous book and anxiously await the next one." -- RT Book Reviews

"Karen Dionne is the new Michael Crichton." – David Morrell

Boiling Point and Freezing Point now available in audio! - "A terrific read!" - James Rollins

Faith and a Box Full of Clock Parts

Thrilled to see my guest essay on writers keeping the faith despite self-doubt on Psychology Today! Here's an excerpt:

"I’m ten years old. My Big Ben-style alarm clock has stopped working. Maybe I wound it too tightly, maybe it’s just worn out. Whatever the reason, the alarm hasn’t gone off in days.

I know I can fix it, if only I can get a look inside. When I tell my …
