Profile Information

About Me:
I write Screenplays, Stage plays, Short stories, articles, reviews and Poetry - Every idea I've ever had for a novel, I've always been able to do in 120 pages or less. I have been published, produced and vilified. Generally I am a raconteur.
I Am A:
Reader, Writer
Books And Authors I Like:
Mystery/Crime writers I think are excellent - In no particular order - Meg Abbott, Mark Haskel Smith, Edward Wright, Walter Mosley, Ray Bradbury, John Connolly, Michael Connelly, Craig Clevenger, Lawrence Block, Bill Fitzhugh, John Ridley, the late Barbara Serenella, and last but certainly not least Fredrick Brown. I read and enjoy a lot more writers, but these guys and gals have been knocking my socks off lately.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
The movie list is far too long to contain here, and the TV list is too short for anyone to care.

Voices In The Night

If you want to hear what I sound like you can go to www.storysalon.com and listen to the podcasts titled "All Is Vanity" 7/07, "March Madness" 3/07, or "I Should Have Kept My Big Mouth Shut" 01/06 - None are thriller's or crime stories - they are 1st person accounts of stuff that has happened in my past. My stories are either 2nd or 3rd in the podcast, and each story is under 7 minutes long, so you don't have to listen too long to hear them.

But only if you really… Continue

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the compliments on my 3D efforts. It's a lot of fun using 3D to generate character images. As for the anthology BLUE RELIGION, I'm blessed to be in it.

Raconteur, how true!
I heard Wall Street Noir reviewed on an LA NPR station yesterday and they mentioned Mark Haskell Smith's story about the day trader locked in a car trunk...it's great!
