Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”
Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."
Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"
Book Synopsis:
The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.
Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.
The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
Michael, I'm still waiting on what you think happened in Bolivia. I think Butch may have gotten back to the States. At least that's what his family says.
I'd sent the message asking if you'd be interested in reading my novel and posting your reactions on this site (or other book-related sites). I can send over an e-book version if you'd like. Let me know.
Yes sir, I would imagine we share some memories that others might consider history. Thanks for the kind comment about the grand daughters. I'll be sure to pass it on to my ugly son and his beautiful wife. That Damn Callahan Girl got put on hold when Mythica Publishing picked up my novel Memoirs of Bear: Nueces Means Nuts I am at work on pre release now and trying to do the sequel at the same time. Bludis can write a novel in about the time it takes me to turn on the computer, unfortunately I am speed challenged.
I really should do something with Callahan. Maybe I will send it out to Thrilling Detective. It's ready to go.
Thanks for reaching out, Michael! Hope you have a prosperous and fun weekend!

About Me:
I'm an abecedarian writer, intense reader, fascinated with words and fixated with grammar; former library technician and middleweight wordsmith for that tedious bureaucratese and official report writing. Whew, I guess that pretty well defines one as verbally anal retentive, huh?!! Now, I'll just have to pull another rationalization out of my...
I Am A:
Reader, Writer
Books And Authors I Like:
Michael Connelly (for fascinating characters, gripping intrigue, and crisp procedural thrills;) Caitlin Rother (for no-nonsense, straight-from-the-hip, extraordinarily moving and touchingly sensual storytelling in true crime nonfiction, no less!) Richard Lederer (for word fun and edification.) Of course, I love wading through the more venerable stars like Chandler, Leonard, John D. MacDonald of whose works even the titles were illuminating! And, out of genre - Faulkner, Hemingway, Steinbeck, and over the past decade - numerous opinion/expose' of the American political scene.
Okay, I'll also cop to reading Baldacci, Grisham, Thomas Harris, Hillerman, Reich, Lawrence Sanders, John Sanford, Wambaugh...
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Movies: everything Edward Norton; The Game; most all of Sean Penn's work; Mad Dog and Glory; Cape Fear (both film versions;) Hitchcock, of course; most anything with Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Michael Douglas, Samuel L. Jackson, Demi Moore, Uma Thurman... and, hmmm - what really happened to Butch & Sundance down in Bolivia? (more later?)
TV: Bones, The Closer, Criminal Minds, Leverage, Lie To Me, The Mentalist, Numbers, Psyche & Monk for lighter, yet still provocative crime dramedy that showcases the importance of keen observation and attention to detail.) Hardball, Countdown w/Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow Show (to keep informed)

Thanks for your comments and your E.A. Poe suggestions, but I have him covered with The Ravens, who were named for his poem.
