My target is to have it to the editor by June 15.</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">The book will have 39 tips, tricks and techniques sections—yeah, some letters warrant more</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">than one entry—based upon the column but with more info that can be used right</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">away. I’m excited and you may have noticed that many of the recent columns make</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">reference to a letter of the alphabet. The annotated pre-proof for “Vanishing</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Act in Vegas,” the next Silver Sisters crime caper, is now with the publisher</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">and I expect release later in the year.</span></p>

I still have room for four or five in the book and of course lots of room on the Silver Sisters website. You have to be willing to read the PDF of the proof when it's available. This time I’m collecting them early. Phyllice</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">and I will be plotting the next one, “Diamonds in the Dumpster,” when I go to</span> <span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Oregon at the beginning of June so we can put our heads together in person. In the tradition of Donnie Brasco or Serpico, Jack Garcia successfully</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">infiltrated the Mafia and brought down a crime family. However, there were two</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">factors the others didn’t have: Jack is actually Cuban and was accepted as</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">being Italian and he is 6’-4” tall and weighed 360 pounds – a very unlikely</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">agent to be recommended by the mob boss to become a made man.</span></p>
<p><span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">We chatted easily for a long time, and when I reviewed my</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">notes, I didn’t want to cut one part of the interview so I split it into three</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">parts to run in consecutive weeks. Jack has a wonderful sense of humor which</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">spices up his story. His book, “Making Jack Falcone” has been acquired by</span> <span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Paramount for a movie.</span></p>

This interview was so interesting, I couldn't bear to cut one part of it, so it was split into these parts. <p><span class="font-size-4" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><em>A Corpse in the Soup</em> was competely rewritten before publication. This is a very important topic, not only to Las Vegas and Nevada, but to our whole country.</span></p>

<p><span class="font-size-3" style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">What makes it special for me is that my co-author of the cozy Silver Sisters Mysteries, my artist sister Phyllice, provided this artwork from her new series of “reading” tee-shirts. Many thanks to Phyllice. By the way, we have embarked on the journey of writing our next Silver Sisters adventure, “Diamonds in the Dumpster.” Book 3, “Vanishing Act in Vegas” will be out late this year, but if we hadn’t practiced the advice in today’s Tricks of the Trade, there might not have been a book 1, 2 or 3.</span></p>
