Blog Touring

The official Russian Roulette blog tour now has 13 stops, and reads like a compendium of the best web sites for mystery lovers. Content will be different on each of these cool sites but listing them all here would give us both a headache. So I've listed them all on my web site.

Proud Daddy

Way more important than any of my writing is the wonderful little girl my daughter is turning into (and really has always been) I take way too many pictures of her and I got a few funny ones today that I thought other crime writers might enjoy. http://ericbeetner.blogspot.com/2009/05/starting-them-young.html

Gothic thrillers anyone?

Hey I've decided my new WIP is going to be a Gothic thriller that takes place in a spooky mansion during the course of one night. I'm trying to get more familiar with the sub-genre. I've been turned on to Britain's Patrick McGrath but can you recommend any other writers working in this area?

How the new Plots with (Ray) Guns breaks down:

Kyle Minor's "Ill Nature" will either make you sick or make you cry or both.

Fred Zackel’s “Creepier than a Whorehouse Kiss” will either make you think Asimov was a giant pussy or make you never use an ATM again or both.

Cameron Ashley's "Nadia-Verdinique's Saturday Night Superlative" will either make you horny or not ever again horny or both.

Yours truly's "Nailed Up with Fudgsicles" will either make you something or some other thing or… Continue

Research

It's a research day today. Sometimes I love research, sometimes I hate it. Today is a love it kind of day! Lots of different countries to research along with customs, restaurants, bars, and alley ways. Google Earth makes this a lot easier. I’m creating an entire timeline and travel maps through Google Earth. It’s fun and it helps to create realism in my scenes. Off to plan a location for an attempted kidnapping!

A Conversation with Miranda Phillips Walker

An ER nurse and wife of novelist Robert W. Walker, Miranda Phillips Walker has a soon-to-be-released novel of her own, The Well Meaning Killer.

Miranda, what made you decide to write The Well Meaning Killer?

From an early age, I have always liked to write stories, poetry, and write songs. I… Continue
