I meant to post a blog but . . .

I see that most of you have no problems posting photos and book covers on your blog post. I, on the other hand, don't seem to be able to transfer a cover image from my files (jpeg) to the blog. And nowhere in "Help" is this problem addressed. Neither does the "Upload Photo" method explain why there is an "error" with my image and what to do about it.

Any suggestions?

(And sorry to blog about it, but I didn't know what other route to take)

I had a ornery spoiled quarter horse mare That I brought home to train. She was a nasty one. She tried to kick me and bite me because the previous owner spoiled her. There's No Predicting

If you'd asked me a week ago, I'd have said that writers' groups don't buy books. Most of the time when I speak to a group of wanna-be writers, they're there to pick my brain, and the enticement of reading my work evades them entirely.

Then I meet a group that surprises me, and I have to run to the car to get more books (always more books in the car--that's a rule.) And I take orders from more people who didn't come prepared to buy the book but want to send a check.

I must comment about the thrill of getting a book published. Even though the novel may fall flat on it's face like a new water skier who get's a facelift while trying to learn the ballance of water sports, None the less the accomplishment that you have written a tale will always be with you. I'm Puttin' on My Top Hat...Sorta

Fred Astaire aside, I've scheduled a library talk tonight, so I've been doing all that silly stuff we do before presenting ourselves to strangers. Not sure why it matters if my nails are polished, but it makes me feel like I have done my part. The thing is, one never knows if it's going to be worth all the effort. NaNoWriMo2009?

Here we are again. I did it last year and yes, it's taken a lot of time, but my project is almost ready to shop around. I completed another 50,000+ word project on another site during the month of January, and I've already contracted to have that one published. While it is great fun AND a lot of hard work, it does pay. If you take it seriously and just get it written, then go back to it later and spruce it up, it's amazing what you can find.
