Wow! What a Morning Surprise.

Wow!  Early this morning I get up and check Amazon.Uk and find out Call Me Smitty, the beginning three story set of this series, was ranked #71 in Kindle books and #100 in books.

I guess the redesign of the series' cover really did improve things!

Another Great Detective Blog

As a writer of hardboiled detective fiction I greatly enjoy the Sons of Spade blog, which spotlights the fictional privarte eye. Jochem Vandersteen, who runs it, is a Dutch author who often works in English. Crime movies and novels are the focus of this blog, and the site maintains a global view. If detective fiction is your thing, you need to check out the Sons of Spade. http://www.sonsofspade.tk/

Author Update

My last public appearance was on a panel at Fall for the Book. I sat on a panel with three other talented Virginia wordsmiths at George Mason University where much of the festival took place. My reading from Russian Roulette appeared to please the audience, as did the diverse material from the other authors. It was great fun and I hope it becomes an annual event for the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Writers Club, which hosted the readings.
