IN THE GRIT OF CRIME

Crime novels tend to vary. Not every other book is the same. Even if the story has some uncanny similarities to another book, the feel of it as a whole would be quite different. Every author has their own signature, of course, and they stamp down their own unique style on every piece of work they pen down. Even if we try to prevent it, a little bit of ourselves still bleed into our work. This makes any given author distinguishable from the next one.

However, crime novels vary…

To Polish, Or Not To Polish?

King of Sorrow, my next novel, is nearing completion. Now I'm battling with two very serious dilemmas.

REVIEW OF 1/1: JIHAD - BRITAIN BY DAVID COLES AND JACK EVERETT

Review by Geraldine Evans

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found it impossible to put down and really wanted to know what happened next. The action moves from country to country in the build-up to the 1/1 New Year terrorist tragedies. With thousands dead at the hands of Islamic fundamentalists, the UK government has no answers. We watch as the Islamic fanatics plot more terror. It's time for a new party, a radical party, the Independents, led by Francis Raike, who promises…

Readers Review DEAD of KNIGHT-A Jack Staal Mystery and post to Amazon.com

'Dead of Knight' a Thrilling Mystery

By E. Chan (New York, New York )

I have to admit, I am a big mystery buff. And because it is my favorite genre of literature, I'll also admit that whenever I pick up a mystery book, I have absurdly high expectations for that book (which, sadly, are usually left unfulfilled).

Not this book. William Potter crafts his novel in a way that keeps the reader flipping the pages, eager for the next plot twist. The viewpoint of… Continue

Latest Customer Review - A Study in Red

Here's the latest review to appear on the Amazon.com (US) site. I particularly appreciate this lady's words as she appears to be something of a Ripper student who normally doesn't read fictional works on the subject. I read her other reviews of a number of ripper books and four stars appears to be her top rating for any of them
