Yet Another 5-Star Review

Another 5-star review! Here's what Cherie Hiles (Somewhere in the Bible belt) posted on Amazon.com about Damaged Goods:

"I was sorry it ended. I was completely hooked on this book from beginning to end. The writing is excellent, the story well-told with depth of character, and description that doesn't leave you confused - but doesn't go on and on to the point of boring you.

I honestly couldn't put it down except when forced, (funny how they think you ought to work at work,…

Another Five Star Review!

Here's what Damascena posted on Amazon.com for Damaged Goods:

"Thisis is the first Hannibal Jones book I've read, and it is a delight on all levels. The writing is excellent to exquisite. the characters are believable (including the hero, who can do amazing things, but is still extremely human). the setting is lovingly and meticulously drawn, in several locales, and the story left me absolutely breathless on more than one occasion.

I especially enjoyed some of the side action,…

Another 5 Star review!

Here's what M. Simpson "Kindle lover" posted on Amazon.com about Damaged Goods:

"Great novel. It surprised me; it was different from the previous Hannibal Jones mysteries. There was less beating up bad guys and more vulnerability. As usual, the characters were all very interesting and very unique. Read this one!"…

Another Cool Review

Sarah Smith read the Kindle version of The Troubleshooter and posted a number of positive comments on Amazon.com.  She not only liked my writing but seemed surprised that the book wasn’t filled with errors.  To be fair she was not too happy about the way I portray Hannibal’s woman Cindy, but I hope she will see the character’s growth in later novels.  Because she offered such a balanced response to my novel I have posted Sarah Smith’s review on my web…

Author update

I had a great time, and saw lots of old friends at this year’s Bay to Ocean writers conference. Both the classes I gave were popular – one overflowed the room and several people had to be turned away. I also had a chance to critique three surprisingly good manuscripts from new authors who will be going somewhere. Trust me. All in all, another great experience.

Also I’ve been asked to speak at the Maryland Writers’ Association – Annapolis Chapter meeting on May 16. The meeting…

THe Latest

My book signing at Barnes and Noble was a big success.  Aside from meeting new fans – many of whom started with more than one book – the staff a was very pleasant and helpful!  I hope to go back there soon.

I also met with the Just Us Girls book club – ten ladies who really know their literature.  They asked the tough questions but I didn’t mind because they also were great fun to chat with and shared great food (Thanks, Josephine.)  Book club meetings are even more fun than store…

Author update

I’m still coming down from the euphoria of three days in Chicago hanging with the best of the mystery and thriller writing community at Love is Murder! The panel I was on with Hank Phillippi Ryan and two other super writers got rave reviews, and I sat in on other presentations that taught me how to take fingerprints, go undercover and handle firearms like a pro. I even signed a couple books at the mass signing event. It was more fun than I can tell you, and I can’t wait to go back next…
