Film Noir at the Egyptian

The Film Noir Foundation is trying to kill me. Their line up at the Egyptian this time around is the best yet, including the rare and brilliant ACT OF VIOLENCE and Sam Fuller’s THE CRIMSON KIMONO, which I would love to see on the big screen. I’m afraid I’m gonna be forced to bring a sleeping bag. There isn’t a single night I want to miss. How can I possibly choose between mint-condition Yul Brenner in PORT OF NEW YORK or THE CROOKED WEB, a film noir by the guy who directed THE DEADLY MANTIS and THE BRAIN FROM PLANET AROUS? Never mind old favorites like PICK UP ON SOUTH STREET or THE KILLING. I better work my ass off now and double my daily word count so that I can justify spending two weeks at the movies.
