The Story That Fights Back

I've promised myself that I will finish my current WIP before beginning anything else, but this one is fighting back. Although it's a great story and very entertaining inside my head, it resists me when I try to write it. The timeline doesn't work, historical fact gets in the way, and I've taken so many wrong turns that it's impossible to see where I am at any given point.

I know from experience that I can't rush a story, so I've let it "rest" several times. Now I'm determined to finish it, and I've set aside next week (after Magna Cum Murder) as a WorkOnIt time. No car trips, no interruptions, it's time to hammer it out and get it done.

Stay tuned, and I'll let you know. Hopefully, the story that's been fighting back will give up and lie down on the page.
