I started One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson over the weekend and got pretty far into it, only to receive notice from the library that Peter Abrahams' Nerve Damage and Craig Johnson's Kindness Goes Unpunished were waiting for me. It was a toss-up, but I started Nerve Damage and now have two books going concurrently. This usually doesn't work well for me, so we'll see how things go (whether I finish either one).

I just hate having to choose which book(s) to keep and which to take back. This is the 2nd time I waited on the wait list for the Atkinson book and even though it's due today (Monday), I've got about 80 pages to go. Finished Nerve Damage already and still have the Johnson (plus 4 or 5 others) to go!

Happens to me all the time. Reading three crime novels now, will definitely finish one, but am not at all convinced about the others. No harm though. Unlike grad school, there's no exam.
