Daphne Wilder accepts her godmother’s invitation to come to her beautiful Montreal home as a temporary live-in companion. But then Daphne learns two previous companions died under mysterious and horrible circumstances. But then Daphne becomes the target of several near-miss incidents.
This was a DorothyL recommendation. While not Mary Stewart, I found this a well-crafted, very enjoyable gothic suspense. I’ve already found her second book.
