First, a reminder of tonight's book signing at the Borders Express in Dulles Town Center, at 21100 Dulles Town Cir, Sterling, VA, from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Since I updated you last I had my last book signing at the Borders Express in Wheaton Mall before it closes. If you’re near there, stop by and pick up the last few copies of my novels at a nice discount.

I also signed some novels at the Borders Express in Ronald Reagan National Airport. Traffic was down from last year, but we still had fun greeting travelers, some of whom saw my novels as perfect holiday gifts.

Another great gift idea featuring Hannibal Jones is the charity holiday anthology, “The Gift of Murder” and it was all over the internet in the last few days. SoMDNews.com, the on line newspaper of Southern Maryland, featured the book in an article.

The “Women of Mystery” blog also ran a feature in which they are giving away copies of the book.

And you can read more about this great anthology, plus pick up a cool recipe or two, in the “Mystery Lover’s Kitchen.”

E-books also make great stocking-stuffers, if you hang a stocking on your computer. I am one of the authors sharing a short story for the Echelon Press 12 Days of Great Reads. You can learn about all of them on their web site.

There’s even more about these holiday short stories on a cool site called “Bragging Rites Unleashed.”

Finally, if you’re attracted to more localized short stories, you might try the Maryland Writers Association anthology, “New Lines from the Old Line State” featuring 36 pieces of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction by 29 stylistically and culturally diverse Maryland Writers Association authors. No Hannibal Jones story here, but I did submit a Felicity O’Brien short story you’ll want to read.
