A small publishing house called Trestle Press is coming out with an anthology of 12 short stories featuring my dark eyed hit man character, 'Smitty.'

What do you think?

I agree, white could be good here, too.

The font for the title is really cool. I'd make the byline smaller to draw more attention to it. Right now they are roughly the same height and are competing for the spot the eye is drawn to.

You could use white for your name.  I rather like  it otherwise.  Simple and effective.  Much good luck!

I see your point, Ben, about the green.  My wife is not too thrilled about green, either.  But my thinking on the version 2.0 was too much red.  Po-ta-toes--Po-TAT-oes.  It's all good.

Well, you heard my thoughts on your facebook string. My vote was for a color-changed version 1.0. I think the gun/knife combo make it too crowded. But that's just my opinion.

For this version, I don't think the green works. Swap it out for the red in the title. Black and red are go-to crime colors. Black, green and red remind me of a noir Christmas.

I like it. Simple designs are always more eye catching. Good luck with this.
