How's International Read an eBook Week Going for You?

The hallowed holiday ends March 12. So how are things going? Sold any eBooks? Discovered any new authors? Decided yet if you'll write it "e-book," "ebook" or "eBook?"

I found a pile of new authors I want to read, many of them exclusively publishing electronically.

Which brings to light the other conundrum of this week. I don't own an e-reader. I'm still addicted to print.

Isn't there a cheap gateway drug to e-readers out there? I just can't see dropping $150 for a snazzy Kindle. Where are the Chinese knock-offs? Oh, the humanity!

I'm a recent e-book convert. I downloaded the free 'Kindle for PC' software from Amazon. I may invest in a dedicated e-reader at some point, but I don't yet feel I need one. I'm happy to read for short stretches on my laptop.

As for writing, I just published my first e-book and I have plans for a bunch more, both fiction and non-fiction. I reckon it's definitely worth a punt. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out!
