Okay, so I bought an e-reader. And I had to try it out, of course, so I downloaded a book my husband has been wanting to read (and tricked him into trying the thing and finding out how easy it is to use. HA!)
Then, of course, I had to download my e-book to see what it looks like to my readers.
I heard from an online contact who likes my work, and I thought about her first book, which I read and really liked, so I tried her name, and there she was, an e-book author. So of course, I bought her book.
Do you see where this is going? Financial ruin, reading bliss, a TBR list stacking up in my little hand-held wonder. Am I happy? Of course!

I bought a Kindle; my sister will buy a Nook, and then we'll trade back and forth from time to time. I bought Kindle because my books are both available there and I wanted to know what readers experience. I will always read real books, too. Like the feel of it and perusing/choosing covers in the bookstore.
Dana, you're so compassionate and helpful! I may need Overeaters Anonymous as well, because I have discovered that the e-reader is held and pages turned with one hand, so I can eat continuously with the other.

You're going to have to hit bottom before you can be effectively helped. Call when you've spent sleepless nights downloading and reading James Patterson and Dan Brown novels and are eating cat food right out of the can. Then a 12 step program might be able to help you.

If you're willing.
