J.J. Abrams and Tom Cruise working together

Stories are circulating that J.J. Abrams and Tom Cruise are working on a story-line for 'Mission Impossible 4.' Here we go again---a revamping of an old series. Still. . . . one can't just automatically pan it and say its rubbish. Cruise is still a bankable star, and after the success of Star Trek, Abrams is the biggest director in Tinsel Town. So the raw ingredients look attractive. Wonder what the plot is gonna be.

I liked the first one, but again, sequels annoy me. Of course, I used to love the TV show. But, as you said, Tom Cruise is bankable, and whatever his personal oddities may be, I think he's a good actor and I've enjoyed the movies I've seen him in. It would be interesting to see what they're planning.

I'm guessing the latest hot graphic novel. Appealing to 17-year-old boys, the only people left willing to spend $20 for a theater ticket.
