MIchelle Vasquez " 'Til Death Do Us Part"

In the last month Michelle Vasquez has released two digital short stories: “Second Hand Bookstore” and now “Til Death Do Us Part”. Some may say they are shocked by this, me, well, I knew she had it in her. The quick success she has attained is a testament to her hard work and ability. The thing that catches my eye about her work though is that both stories are polar opposites, one is a nice, warm and cuddly tale, the other is a hard core suspense/thriller/horror piece.

“’Til Death Do Us Part” is a story that could be real, could happen, and very probably does happen to some that are in this situation. The story has an incredible visceral feeling to it. The manner in which Michelle Vasquez is able to get us emotionally involved in the lives of these characters is just amazing. Her plotline is well executed, her prose is tight and adds to the tension, ratcheting it up as she moves closer and closer to her dynamic ending, or is it? I personally hope it isn’t; I would like to read more from this author.

If I may, for those of you that have been kind enough to read her work, please leave a review on your social networks, on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble’s. Let Michelle know how you feel about her work; you have a voice, exercise it. An emerging author is hungry to know what you think about her work.

Here is the synopsis of the story:

“Krista Smith took her two daughters and disappeared ten years ago. They live in a nice suburban neighborhood where life is safe and quiet. All of that is about to change when Krista’s worst nightmare comes true.”
