I adore cats but can't remember the names . . .

It just makes me wince when I meet someone who writes off a whole category of books (and makes such huge assumptions about the quality of all books containing cats) and wears their rejection as a proud badge -- a "Look at me! I'm so smart and discriminating."

Ah, well, I won't change the minds of those folks. . .

I Love your latest avatar, Leann.

Boy, what I'd do to have a cat in my life again. One of my children is allergic, so I have to settle for Leo in my fiction instead. Alas.

I have a cat in my series. Her name is Diva. I can't imagine a world without a cat, not even my fictional world and there may be more cats in my future. I hope.
I like the second part of that comment. You've brought yet another perspective to the conversation. I'm really interested in the bias pro -- and con -- about our feline friends.

There are a lot of cat avatars here? Really? I hadn't noticed.

You know the old quote, "Curiosity Killed the cat — but Satisfaction brought it back." I think that we mystery lovers have a natural curiosity and thus affinity with cats. That and they're just darn cute and cuddly too.
