Hi, Jeff, are you by any chance a fellow Canadian? I LOVE Giles Blunt -- have read them all. Just met Sandra Ruttan on line yesterday, so I'm going to order her book as well, especially after your note on it. I also dig what you said about the crime not being the only key point in a novel, I like when the focus is on the real situation as well.

Hope you enjoy the book. I attended the print journalism program at Loyalist. Ended up going in a different direction, but a lot of those grads move on to Carleton.
Hi Jeff, thanks for the invite. Do you teach at Carleton? I stayed there when I was on a field trip for grade 8 graduation, which feels like a lifetime ago! Always liked Ottawa.
Jeff, if you get a chance, please look at the video trailer for Just North of Luck and let me know if you find it as compelling as the cover. All feedback is appreciated.
I agree, Jeff. The crime writers I've met have all been very helpful and supportive. I wouldn't say that about some of the editors and agents I've met, however.

not surprised you're a professor.

Teaching scriptwriting must be quite interesting.
Michael Connelly has made many of the author lists on this site. He's an inspiration to the trade.
Good luck with your writing.
In your opinion how easy/hard/impossible would it be for an author to adapt their book into a screen play?
