Hi Nancy, happy to meet you and glad to be your friend. Sorry to take so long to respond, busy weekend promoting my book. This after recovering from 6 day evac for Hurricane Gustav. Ho, hum, my third since moving to N.O. 7 years ago. :)
Looks like we enjoy many of the same writers. I just added Laura Lippman to my fav list. She's terrific, especially her standalones. Currently reading To the Power of Three.

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the contact. Been researching this story off and on since 1984 when I discovered it researching a different project. Spent 20 years at Mass State Archives -- assisted with lots of institutionization records research -- great stuff. Now work for Mass Department of Correction -- Director of Volunteer Services. After volunteering there for 16 years, I guess they thought they should hire me.
cheers. Bill

Hi
Thanks for the ad. I'm just starting to get my feet wet here.
Thanks for the add, Nancy. You have excellent taste in crime literature, and music. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Best wishes from Dixie,
Tim

Hi, Nancy:
What a professional-looking photo of yourself! And a most interesting if very brief profile. Thanks for adding me as a friend here on GoodReads, though when looking over your list of favorite authors, I feel rather like a krill among whales but appreciate your kindness.
I write simple mysteries whose main purpose is to entertain the average reader looking for something with a different point of view. I'd be pleased if you might try one.
Hi Nancy: You sent me a "Friend" request, but somehow I managed to lose it from my page before responding...so I've sent one back to you. What is "POLICE FACEBOOK"? I'm going to have to check it out!
Like your reading list...I'm a big fan of James Cain and Dennis Lehane. Have you attended any mystery conferences this year? There's a big one in October in Baltimore (Bouchercon) which is the ultimate place to meet writers and fans in person (which, unfortunately, I will not be attending).
Nice to meet you.
Greetings from a very wet Scotland (we've had an extraordinary summer here of constant torrential rain and thunderstorms). Thanks for your invite to be a friend.

I also read William Gibson. "Pattern Recognition" and "Spook Country" were worth reading.
Thank you for the invitation.

I love John MacDonald and Raymond Chandler too. Have you ever read Walter Mosley, or the G.K. Chesteron Father Brown books?
Nice to meet you! :)

Thanks,

After seeing your list of favorite writers, I'm not surprised that you live in L.A.
Hey, Police Facebook looks interesting!
