Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

I write for joy of it too. It's all the marketing that can wear you down. I'd like to stay updated on your story. I hope it blazes a successful trail.

Hi Cyndi
Good luck with your sexy cozy. Check out all the discussions about sex in the crime novel and title.
Your question, Is it really worth the time, effort, and expense? Some days, I think not. Other days I love all of it.

Hello, Cyndi--we travel in a smaller rig than you, but we don't "seasonal" in one spot. You'd need a larger rig for wintering in Florida. We currently have a 24' mini-motor home (class C) and sometimes pull a 13' SCamp when my M-I-L travels with us. (we call that the mother-in-law suite *LOL*)

"Sexy, coxy" is in with the agents. I ubscribe to Publishers Marketplace and a good percentage of deals are in that "subgenre."
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

Hi Cyndi! Bradford is a huge town of 700, nestled between Searcy and Newport. Or to be more precise, between Bald Knob and Possum Grape.
