Hi Lyn, that is really an honor about BEATITUDE and, in my opinion, even more at what you're doing to help your library. I remember when Stephen King donated over a million dollars to the library in my hometown in Maine, and what a major difference it made to our community! It's sad that it's so needed, but you're doing something about it--that's awesome. I can't wait to read BEATITUDE and hope you'll keep us updated on the library's status. -Karen

Lyn, what fun! Jefferson isn't far from Longview, my home town. I hope you'll post pictures. Do you ever get to Lake Charles? Every now and then I venture into New Orleans. Do you know my friend Barbara Colley? She writes cozies for Kensington.

Lyn,
Thanks for the compliment. You're doing a wonderful thing, contributing for the Library. Where would we be without libraries? The books there are keys to the world.

Lyn,
Downloaded your info on agents, but what is the "LuLu" you mentioned? I'm kinda new at this.

Lyn,
I'm really impressed with your profile. I should be so lucky. I'm still looking for an agent, too. Got any good advice? Query letters somehow just don't make it.

You're welcome. I think everyone talks about their books to some extent. It's all about word of mouth, especially when there are readers and writers in the same place. You can always put your thoughts in the blog on this page. People will read it.

Ny goodness.....thank you. I'm going there now - should have waited. Back to in a few....
Do you think I should do some more on crimespace...but I don't think I am supposed to talk about my own book here even though I'm doing this as a cause.

Lyn...I'm more than halfway through the book and so anxious to see how it turns out that I have to force myself to stop at the end of a chapter so I can get to where I need to be. Love Scrimp and Pinch (and Romeo is growing on me).

Hi Lyn, I've finally got around to visiting with you. Hope you find a good agent and that your project is successful. It's certainly a worthy cause.

If JLB had made the offer, I'd not be shy about asking for his contact info. You have nothing to lose, Lyn. Good for you on that contact! It will benefit the libraries of NOLA if it goes through. Let me know how that goes.

How cool! I just bought his latest book of short stories and am in awe! One question...better to buy from Amazon or at the website? I haven't checked either. Want to go where it does the most good.

Lyn, thanks so much for your kind comments. I'd be happy to get involved somehow with the effort to help rebuild New Orleans libraries. And I'll be on the lookout for your work. Take care.

I'll definitely check it out...I've discovered so many great stories just because I love reading about places I've been. That's how I started reading James Lee Burke. His narrative is amazing, and I like Dave. I also read Alafair Burke's novels, set in Portland (which is where my daughter is). I think I'm a 'travel through reading' junkie.

Yeah, I am losing track of all the websites from facebook to Myspace to Linkin and Crimespace, but have to admit it's all fun. Meeting a lot of new people.
