Hope your flight home was uneventful! We're now having some very Seattle like weather here (cloudy and cool).
See you at B'con...

What an interesting mix of writing you've don. I had to come to this site to get of sense of who you were... beside the party guy in the red hat on Facebook.
I wish I were under a writing contract. And you make a valid point about blogging. Who has time?

Keep us informed, please, on your newest project. I just finished my new short story but it's about 650 words too long. Time to cut...after I get my taxes done! Procrastinated and now I'm suffering for it. Bye!

That sounds like a cool mystery novel you're working on, Brian. I want to be first in line to buy a copy when it comes out. I love historical mysteries (except the U.S. Civil War period does not interest me. I cannot say why, just doesn't.) Sorry to take forever to get back to you. It's been an exhausting year, to my great surprise.

I'm working on my second Cattle Capers(tm) short story for Amazon. com Shorts. I decided to bring it in to my writing critique group, who are all romance writers. I thought they'd think I was a little nuts, but I just didn't have time to work on my new novel and the short; to my pleasant surprise, they love the story. It's about collapsing dinosaurs in a museum, with the usual corny humor: "Surely you don't suspect me." "It's not Shirley who suspects you, it's us."

Take care. Dawn
PS. I've been to the Gold Coast in Australia. Wasn't dressed properly to go into the clubs since I was living out of a small school bag for five weeks.

Happy New Year, dude!

I would give up blogging, except I hate writing and it's a good distraction.

The "Don't Stop Believing" video--you cut the best part! You WERE paid off, you dirty dog. So much for journalistic integrity.

Don't listen to Pat, Brian. He's a silver-tongued schemer who will say anything as long as you keep buying the drinks.

And I really should pay more attention to your reasonable stance on blogging.

I hear Seattle's hot as heck this summer. Hope you have AC. Thanks for stopping by to say hi. I'll be in Bellingham next Wednesday if you feel like a really long road trip just to get a signed book :-)

Hi Brian,
I'm in Melbourne. Victoria where we are having a pretty cold winter - the first for many years, what with the drought etc., But some good rains which we need. I've worked around the country in most States working on various films and spent a lot of time over the years in Sydney, but Melbourne is my home town - and the best!
Cheers,
Brian
