Hi David,

It's great to see that there's another NM dweller here. Was born and raised in Santa Fe, and with most of my family still there and my weekly visits, it's always amusing to still hear people from out of state wondering if they need a passport to enter. I'm thinking next time, I'm going to answer in the affirmative....

Hi David,

I recently reread FIRST BLOOD and realized why I love it so much. And I agree with you that the latest movie comes closest to the book when it comes to John's character and inner demons.

I wish you were doing the script for the next one. I would love to see where you would take it with John going home and seeing his father.

Best,
Jason

Hi David,
Believe it or not we met through ITW--I know you, but you probably don't know me. My first ITW event was in NY at BEA (the crowded cocktail party0 and you introduced yourself. What a great job you and Gayle have done! See you in July.

Hi, everyone.

I just posted October's WHAT'S NEW page at my website. Among other things, I talk about the sell-out of the first issue of my 6-part comic-book series CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE CHOSEN. In addition, I have an update about my flying lessons and a movie recommendation: 3:10 TO YUMA.

Go here for a chance to win signed copies of Captain America: The Chosen.

Best regards, David

My husband and I both enjoy your work, and I especially enjoyed a panel where you, Barry Eisler, and Lee Child got together. Testosterone City, but great fun.

Hi, David!
Congratulations on the Ink Pot!! As a long-time comic book fan and former retailer, I'm particularly delighted!
And thanks again for the heady, inspirational brew that is ITW--I'm honored and very happy to be a tiny part of it.
Now here's the big question: when is DC going to draft you for Batman? :)

Hi David. I have followed your career, read your blog and website, check in at PM and M.J. Rose, and have taken lessons from you both in writing and marketing. So you have influenced writers and readers so much (Creepers was fantastic!!)
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

Thank you for all the kind comments, emails and posts. I don't visit this site frequently due to the demands of writing. However it is maintained by a member of my staff and I do get updates on who visits and who leaves messages. The fastest way to get in touch with me is through my website at http://www.davidmorrell.net.

Found "Creepers" at The Strand and hoovered it down in one sitting today... your sense of place (Asbury Park) was already on my radar, having worked on a movie there in the dead of winter when the husk of the casino still existed and it was exactly as you described. Only whitened my knuckles further. Excellent book -- thanks!
