Loved Death of a Cozy Writer. Can't wait to read your newest. We have a friend in common, Dottie H of Yarmouth, MA. She suggested I read your book and I'm glad she did!

Loved your latest and now for the vulgar part. Seeking blurbsters for my latest, Triple Jeopary, a wickedly satirical caper about bad-spirited financial types getting their due. If you'd like, come back to me at notdeadyet@att.net.
All the Best,
Geneva,
Sorry there wasn't time for chat at your bash yesterday. Nice kick-off. Talked with Bob about poss. TV series and he says that you're on that. Second, are you agented, and if not do you want to be? Alternatively, if you're unhappily agented, do you want to trade up? Overall, good on you. Stay at it.
Thanks for the invite. I saw your books at Midnight Ink when I was looking up a local writer, Daniel Craig. I will be looking for your books - they sound right up my alley.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that personal contact doesn't make a difference in response --- either speed of or content.
The Japanese agency handling the deals was Tuttle-Mori in Tokyo, as subagent to mine, Philip Spitzer. They can be contacted independent of an agent via their web info, either on-line or by snail mail. Ken Mori's the guy unless you prefer another by genre. Again, a list of agents at T-M is on their web site. There are a number of other translation rights agencies in Japan if T-M is not interested.
Cover of book; Richard Cheek, a professional photographer and classmate of mine at Deerfield, took this late PM autumn shot of the colonial village cemetery. The prep school has folded around it, having a start going back to the late eighteenth century. The cemetery contains, among others, the victims of the famous Indian raid during the French and Indian war, after which some captives were trekked off to Canada by the Indians.
Per Writing: Always reserve a little time, at least, each day to work on projects.
Hi Gm, Thanks for the invitation. I like the phrase
"affectionate send-ups of their respective genres" which tells me all I need to know. I lean a little that way myself. And like you I'm still working out the mechanics and etiquette of this site. Cheers.
Gin,
Everyone thinks it's great that I had 'that kind of a mind.' But the problem of remembering so much is that one remembers the blunders along with the triumphs, the embarrassments along with the finesse. Well, I'm still in DC and will be at the WIW (Washington Independent Writers) fiction conference on 9 February at AU. Don't be a stranger. If there's anything I can do or you need to talk on 'trade matters' just drop me some electrons and digits. If you want more privacy that billboards allow, use notdeadyet@att.net, that's me too.
Neat synchonicity,
Gin,
Were you ever in one of my fiction classes at Georgetown, or was it your double, with not just the same initials and last name, but the same looks. Note this is not something that would work in fiction because it's all supposed to be causal, no coincidences. If so, it definitely does not simulate life.
Hazel - It's an embarrassment of riches, isn't it? There are so many settings I want to use, and plots...the problem is settling on one and letting the others go...for now.
I love the short story form and am working up an idea now, while I try to reach a decision on the above.

Congratulations on your awards! Do you like working with Midnight Ink?
Thanks for the kind words!
